This is a workshop on your own laptop. We start by opening the terminal and getting an AI coding agent running.
Then you’ll ask it to make a website and a to-do app. You’ll see the files it creates, make changes and work through the errors. Phil and Igor help you understand what’s happening along the way.

Make the thing
you have in mind.
Maybe you’ve asked ChatGPT for code, copied it somewhere and got stuck. Here, the agent works with the files on your laptop.
You describe what you want and try the result. We’ll help you see what the agent changed, and what to try when it goes wrong. The small exercises give you a place to learn before you tackle your own idea.
The room stays small so there’s time to ask questions. Getting stuck is part of the session.

Get the agent running.
Open the terminal, install the tools and connect your AI subscription. Ask questions as we go.
Build, then change it.
Make a website and a to-do app. Tell the agent what you want to change, try it, and see how it responds. We’ll work through the confusing bits together.
Keep experimenting.
Take the projects home on your laptop. Try an idea of your own, bring it to the online follow-up and use the Slack community when you need a hand.

I’ve spent more than two decades building software and leading engineering teams. I now help people make their first tools with AI, as well as working with engineers who use it every day.
Igor Ranc
Igor runs Handpicked Berlin. A former product and project manager, he started using coding agents to build his own ideas, including moving Handpicked’s website from WordPress to Astro.
Before you book.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. This is for people who have never opened a terminal as well as people who already use chat tools and want to try building. We start with the setup and explain what’s happening as we go.
What do I need to bring?
A modern Windows, macOS or Linux laptop, and a paid Claude Pro, ChatGPT Plus or Google AI Pro subscription. Have the subscription ready before you arrive so you can use a coding agent in the session and keep building afterwards.
How long is it, and where?
The workshop is three hours, in person in Berlin, with an online follow-up. Check your event for its start time, location and follow-up arrangements.
What will I actually build?
A website and a working to-do app on your laptop. The exercises are deliberately small so you can follow the whole process. You’ll also learn how to switch between agent providers.
What if I get stuck afterwards?
You’ll be invited to the Everyday AI Club Slack to ask questions and see what other participants are making. There’s also an online follow-up. Bring what you’ve tried, including the bits that didn’t work.
How much does it cost? Can I cancel?
