I’ve spent more than two decades building software and leading engineering teams. These days I help founders make technical decisions, coach people who manage teams, and teach people how to build with AI.

I’ve got plenty
of this wrong.
I’ve been an engineer, a manager and a CTO. I’ve also run a business that failed.
Some of my hardest lessons have been about people. I’ve kept colleagues at a distance because I thought that would make me a better manager. It made me miserable, and made the job harder. I’ve taken on work I should have let my team do. I’m still learning.
I’m based in Berlin, where I also run AI workshops with Igor Ranc of Handpicked Berlin.

Good Nuisance?
I tend to ask why we’re doing something this way. It can be annoying.
But if a decision doesn’t make sense, I’d rather talk about it than carry on and hope for the best. Then we can figure out what to do about it.
